3 Star LB having Solid Summer

If 3 star linebacker, Will Darkins out of Lake Oswego, Ore., continues to perfect his skills, he could be on track make a name for himself like his idol and former Ohio State linebacker, AJ Hawk. "He's mastered one of the hardest things to do as an linebacker, which is play at 6-foot-1, 245 pounds and run a 4.63 40, as well as explode on opponents," shares Darkins

For Darkins, the recruiting process couldn't be better, where he was recently invited to the Oregon Preview Day, had a solid showing at the Eugene Nike Combine with an incredible 3.94 in the 20 yard shuttle, and ran a 4.61 at the University of Washington Camp. "My 4.61 was hand held and was timed by Coach Tyrone Willingham, so I was lucky that Coach Willingham timed me," says a laughing Darkins. "I had been working very hard on my time, so I was glad for the good showing."

With offers from Oregon State, San Jose State and Portland State and with others schools having the tough linebacker on their radar, Darkins is not looking to make a decision anytime soon. ""Right now Washington and Oregon are recruiting me the hardest," said Darkins. "The Huskies linebacker coach said he would be in contact with me."
