Bama OL needs to take next step

What do football-starved Alabama fans do to help pass time in the offseason? They meet up at a seafood restaurant in the Mobile area and solve all of the Crimson Tide's problems.

At least that was the scene in late May when I joined a handful of subscribers for some fresh shrimp, cheese grits and a heaping helping of Tide talk.

I don't remember much about the meal, but, really, who cares? This night wasn't about food.

As I recall, the quarterback position proved to be a tasty appetizer on the way to the night's main course of discussion -- Alabama's offensive line.

Our dinner forks sat idle as we broke down the Tide's returning linemen and the five freshmen who signed with UA in February. Each of us offered up solid starting combinations, but we kept coming up with too many potential starters and not enough starting spots.
