Iglesias concerned about wins and tradition

There was no single player last year who caught people by more surprise last season that Killeen, Texas wide receiver Juaquin Iglesias. The 6-foot-2, 195-pound receiver was somewhat of an after thought at this point last year but went on to collect 19 catches for 290 yards and two scores.

With his talent, and a year under his belt Iglesias won't be surprising anyone this season, and associate editor Josh McCuistion caught up with him after Saturday night's scrimmage to discuss expectations, a somewhat sore topic after a rough opening scrimmage.

JM: Give us your thoughts on the first scrimmage of the fall, how did you feel you did as well as the team?

JI: I feel like we did good, this is our first scrimmage so there is always something that some people are not really ready for. Me personally I feel like I did bad today.

It's just the first scrimmage we are coming along good especially from Paul from not throwing the ball until a week ago. I think it's going to be a positive, we just have to stay positive and get through what we're going through right now.

JM: You say you weren't happy with your performance, where did you fall short of your own expectations?

JI: I dropped a ball right over here and the ball was right on and I dropped it. I think it's just getting to the end of two-a-days and my body is a little tired, I just have to get in and get treatment on it and I should be good.
