Pullman Practice Report

The Cougars are recuperating from a rash of injuries from last week and earlier this week andCougZone sent our very own Campus Carl to assess the legendary recuperative powers of the Pullman waters. Here are a few observations via his patented nugget dispenser;

Anthony Houston is practicing now, and he had a great practice on Monday night. He runs pretty crisp routes for a frosh, has a great frame, soft hands, and plays the ball very well. He's another one that can come down with a jump ball when need be. He's the top frosh of the three coming in. Quarterbacks coach Timm Rosenbach complimented one of his short routes during end zone drills with the QBs and jokingly asked 'Where'd that come from?' to which Charles Dillon quipped "That's the guy that got hurt the first day of practice, coach."

Darrell Hutsona continues to show off his quickness, ripping off a strong run and slaloming through defenders in the secondary. Preston Brooks got his moment in the sun making a nice tackle on Hutsona before he could get to the corner during 8-9s, getting just enough of his ankles to bring him down.

Don Turner looked as sharp as I've ever seen him Monday night. He did get beat once or twice, but made a lot of really nice plays, including an interception in the end zone and a pass breakup on the very next play.
