Open Practice: Shada sees progress
As cornerback Adam Shada heads into his first season as a full-time starter, the junior says he tries to take positive steps in camp everyday. After practice, Shada talked about his progress, the freshman class of wide receivers, getting ready for the season opener, and much more.
Q: How's camp going for you and Charles at corner? Where do you think you're at?
SHADA: I don't really know what to put in perspective to, but I think from where we were at before camp started, we've taken some positive steps forward mentally and sharpened up some footwork stuff. We've still got a ways to go, but I think we're moving in the right direction. We're both excited to get the season going.
Q: How have the young receivers looked?
SHADA: I'm really impressed with the young receivers. They've got a confident group of guys. They're all kind of in the Steve Smith mold of small, real quick guys with real good speed. They're the tough ones to cover I think. But, I think they're doing a great job. I'm not sure what we'll see from them this year and who's doing what, but they've impressed me throughout camp.
