Post Camp Awards

BOULDER, Colo. - The Buffaloes closed out preseason camp on Tuesday afternoon, meaning it is time for's annual post-camp awards.

Offensive MVP: Mell Holliday

While the offense struggled as a whole through most of preseason camp, Mell Holliday was once again a bright spot. The senior running back has been pushing Hugh Charles for the starting spot. He is currently listed atop the depth chart with Charles and Byron Ellis, in a three-way tie. Holliday racked up 121 rushing yards on 15 carries during camp's two scrimmages.

Defensive MVP: Terrence Wheatley

The junior cornerback tweaked his wrist last week, the same wrist that kept him sidelined for the entire 2005 season, but Wheatley returned after missing just two days. Wheatley's impressive combination of speed and strength make him one of the most physically gifted players on the team.

Special Teams MVP: Mason Crosby

Big surprise, right? Mason Crosby nailed a 66-yard field goal during the first scrimmage of camp and he nailed all four of his field goal attempts in the second scrum.
