Could freshman start at right tackle?

The offensive tackle position got a makeover entering FSU week.

The first-team left tackle remains Reggie Youngblood, and Chris Rutledge moved from right tackle to left tackle as his backup.

There was a surprise today at right tackle, where freshman Jason Fox is now the primary first-teamer with Tyrone Byrd behind him. But Byrd, who is coming off a knee injury, could still start against the Seminoles.

"We've really escalated Fox's reps," coach Larry Coker said.

Asked if Fox may start against FSU, Coker said, "There's a possibility, sure. He's been (with the first team) for several days now a portion of the time. If you're the best player (it doesn't matter if you're a freshman). If they're ready to play, we'll give them an opportunity."
