Prospects ready to visit KU on Saturday

For high school and college football fans from all across the state of Kansas, it's the most wonderful time of the year. Beginning on Friday night and continuing through Saturday evening, rapid fans will take trips to various football stadiums, and will do so with big smiles. Additionally, a number of prospects will venture to Memorial Stadium on Saturday to watch the Kansas Jayhawks season opener against Northwestern State.

Lawrence Trio Headed To Memorial Stadium:

"My brother, Brian Murphy, Christian Ballard and I are going to the KU game on Saturday for an unofficial visit," said Ryan Murphy.

During his junior year at Lawrence (KS) Free State, Murphy had 600 rushing yards and scored seven touchdowns. Additionally, he completed 113-of-193 passes for 1,162 yards and tossed 13 touchdowns.

Ballard, the No. 96 ranked player in the class of 2007, had 13 receptions for 173 yards during his junior campaign. On the defensive side of the ball, he was credited with 37 tackles and six sacks.
