Watts anxious to take on Louisville

During its weekly press conference Kansas State showed plenty of respect for eighth-ranked Louisville (3-0), who the Wildcats will face Saturday at Bill Snyder Family Stadium, and K-State also expressed its excitement for the opportunity to play one of college football's elite teams. Junior safety Marcus Watts made clear how much he was looking forward to the weekend, as he talked about the Cardinals' explosive offense, injuries to UL's top two threats and the type of momentum a win could produce in this Q&A on

Where is this defense right now?
"I think right now we are happy with where we're at. We have little mistakes that we know we can improve on. We want to keep getting guys to the ball and flying around. It's going to be a good challenge for us. They are a good offense. They lead the nation in a lot of offensive categories."

How good is Louisville's group of wide receivers?
"I watched a little bit of the Miami game, not watching tape, just on TV, but they have very good receivers. They are tall, they're strong and they're fast. It's going to be a challenge for us as a secondary this week, but we'll be up to the challenge."
