Movin' on to Troy
Still stinging from Saturday's disappointing 28-10 loss at Southern California, the Nebraska football team says it's time to move forward and focus attention on Troy - the next team of Trojans on the Huskers' schedule.
Troy will bring a 1-2 record into Memorial Stadium Saturday night, but the Trojans have the full attention of Husker players and coaches after nearly upsetting Atlantic Coast Conference powers Florida State and Georgia Tech in their last two games. FSU needed to score twice in the final six minutes of the game to pull out a 24-17 victory, while Georgia Tech pulled away from the Trojans in the fourth quarter for a hard-fought 35-20 win.
"They're an outstanding team," Nebraska head coach Bill Callahan said of Troy at his weekly press conference Tuesday. "This is going to be a fun game for our team and a great challenge."
Callahan and his staff have watched game films of Troy and the Husker coach said the Trojans' close calls with the Seminoles and Yellow Jackets served as real "eye openers."
