Grading the Tigers against Colorado
For the first two drives, Chase Daniel was absolutely lights out. He started 9-of-10 for 99 yards and two touchdowns. He made a conscious effort to get his two stars (the tight ends) involved in the offense. Missouri fans need to realize that Daniel is less than half a season into his starting career. He'll make mistakes. He made one on Saturday, throwing a pick (the second one wasn't his fault). But the good far outweighed the bad in this one. With seven games (at least) left in the season, Daniel is only five touchdowns short of the Missouri single season record. He'll have it by the time the Tigers return from their Texas road trip. The good news is, he can be quite a bit better.
Final Grade: B+
The tight ends served reminder they are the nation's best tandem. There is not a player in the Big 12 that can cover Martin Rucker, who should break the career yardage mark by a tight end sometime later this season. There might be a couple that can cover Chase Coffman, but it does not matter because he catches the ball anyway, as evidenced by his second touchdown. There may have been a drop or two, but we sure can't remember any.
