UA looks to make it two in a row against UCLA
Last week, Arizona suffered a tough loss to the University of Washington. The final score was 21-10, with all of the Huskies' points coming in the second quarter. This week the Wildcats head to Los Angeles to take on the 3-1 UCLA Bruins.
During last week's loss Arizona was led by quarterback Willie Tuitama, who made the most of every opportunity which was presented to him. Tuitama completed 58 percent of his passes and threw for 308 yards with one touchdown and one interception.
Prior to last season's 52-14 pummeling of UCLA, it seemed as if the Bruins had the Wildcats' number as they had only lost to Arizona just six times in the past 20 seasons.
In Arizona's 2005 victory, Tuitama completed 14 of 24 passes (58%) for 204 yards and two touchdowns. Tuitama will try and find a weakness in the Bruins' secondary this week, which thus far has allowed an average of only 155 yards per game through the air.
Arizona receivers combined for 217 yards and one touchdown. The aerial assault was led by Mike Thomas, Syndric Steptoe and Anthony Johnson, who each had five catches a piece. Thomas totaled 91 yards, Johnson had 41, and Steptoe totaled 85 yards and one touchdown.
