Three-star DT attracts attention

Westlake Village (Calif.) Westlake has a very quiet 5-0 record. Westlake has a fine tradition and one time the only California school that rivaled Westlake's success sending its best players to the D-I level was Long Beach (Calif.) Poly.

Now Westlake has to compete with its neighbor Westlake Village (Calif.) Oaks Christian for players as well as print and with all the ink that Oaks Christian is getting this year, there is hardly any leftover for the Westlake Warriors, hence a very quiet 5-0 record.

One of the reasons that Westlake is perfect on the season is the play of three-star defensive tackle Tyrone Duncan (6-2, 300, 4.9).

Duncan has racked up over 20 tackles and has registered four sacks in five games. His success is coming at the price of double and triple teams.

"Washington State is my latest offer," Duncan said. "They offered me three weeks ago."

"My other offers are from Ole Miss, Utah, New Mexico and Nebraska," Duncan said. "I was supposed to visit Nebraska in December, but they wanted me to change the visit to an earlier date."
