Richt making changes

Despite leading the team in rushing for the last four games, it appears that junior tailback Kregg Lumpkin is heading to the bench in favor of Thomas Brown.


Lumpkin ran for 78 yards Saturday on 13 carries including a 26-yard run, which was his longest run of the season. Lumpkin is the leading rusher this season and has rushed for 347 yards on 61 carries for an average of 5.7 yards per carry through six games. Head coach Mark Richt has decided to open the job up this week.
