Great trips ahead for four-star
Four-star offensive lineman Kristoffer O'Dowd (6-5, 315, 5.16) from Tucson (Ariz.) Salpointe Catholic has more than lived up to his reputation as one of the West's best offensive linemen, he has played like one of the elite behemoths in the nation.
O'Dowd has been instrumental in Salpointe Catholic's perfect 8-0 record and state No.1 ranking.
At one time O'Dowd was going to visit Miami on November 4th but that trip is somewhat in the air at this time. His fourth visit now will be to UCLA on December 2nd when the Bruins take on archrival USC.
UCLA was on the outs for a bit in the O'Dowd sweepstakes but the Bruins did a fine recruiting job getting back in the hunt.
"I liked the way UCLA presented their depth chart and how I would fit in their plans," O'Dowd said. "I also like UCLA's academics."
Obviously O'Dowd has an eye for traditional great match ups because besides taking in the UCLA/USC classic, O'Dowd will visit Ohio State on November 16 the weekend when college football will not only have one of country's great rivalries playing when the Buckeyes take on the Michigan Wolverines, but the season continues to progress the way it appears then this game could have major bowl implications.
After the visit to Ohio State, O'Dowd will visit USC when they play Notre Dame the weekend of November 25th.
