2008 receivers having big years

The class of 2008 will be another very talented collection of football prospects like any other year in the talent rich state of Texas. The group of receivers will be no exception as four juniors have emerged to lead the pack of a talented group in DeSean Hales of Klein Oak, Omarius Hines of Corsicana, Darryl Stonum of Dulles and Daniel Buckner of Allen.

Each of the four is different in size and the skill set he brings to the table, but each has the ability to take over a game.

In a toss up as to which receiver is having the top individual season with three weeks left in the regular season, no receiver prospect has been asked to do as much for his team as Hales. Hales was an all-district receiver and kick returner as a sophomore in district 18-4A, but the 5-foot-10, 165-pound elusive speedster and his Klein Oak teammates faced a bigger challenge heading into the 2006 season with the move up in classification to the always talented 16-5A with the likes of Spring Westfield, Klein, Spring and Klein Forest.
