Bowden shutout at home for the first time


The "9" jersey that was seen under center switched to an "11" in the second quarter. But the number of greatest concern was the one on the Doak Campbell Stadium scoreboard under "FSU."



Zero.




For the first time in Bobby Bowden's FSU tenure, the Seminoles were shut out at home, 30-0 against Wake Forest. The last time it happened was 1973, when Kansas came to Tallahassee and beat FSU 28-0. Saturday marked the first shutout, home or away, since 1988, when the Seminoles lost 31-0 to Miami, 232 games ago.
