Hartigan and teammates still interested in ISU

Head coach Dan McCarney's resignation last week immediately brought about questions whether committed prospects would maintain their interest in the Cyclones, but what about uncommitted prospects? A trio of Oakland Park (Fla.) Northeast players, including linebacker Josh Hartigan, was scheduled to take an official visit to Ames the weekend of Dec. 1, and despite the coaching change, that trip may still occur.

"It's probably still on," reported Hartigan. "Yeah, the coach matters, but I'm a defensive player and the coaches that coach defense are still there. Right now, I think it is still on either way if the coach isn't named or if a coach is named. I like their program, I like what they are doing over there. I think I could probably wait for another coach."
