Figgins is excited about play-offs and UGA

Shaw High School is known for winning in Columbus (Ga.) year and year out. They usually make it into the play-offs and hope to make noise each year. This year is no different and the Raiders are led by future Bulldog Bruce Figgins. He had a big first round game and he talks about that and his love for the Dawgs inside.

"We went out and played well last week," said Figgins. "We jumped on South Effingham and we beat them 35-0. We played a good game, but we have a tough game this week."

"We Monroe and they look good on film. We will be ready though. We will be prepared."

Figgins wasn't ready for the game he had in round one.

"I blocked real good and that is usually the kind of offense we run," he said. "We run the ball a lot, especially in the red zone. Last week, we threw it more though and I caught two touchdown passes that went for around 50-yards. I thought I had a great game. I blocked real well and I had two big catches."

He hopes to catch many more touchdowns once he gets to Athens.
