Recruits excited about Texas Bowl

The Kansas State Wildcats now know where and against who they will be playing their bowl game. The opponent is the second highest ranked opponent of any Big 12 bowl game as No. 16 Rutgers will meet K-State in the Texas Bowl. The match-up is one that is exciting recruits already, including some who may be in attendance when the game kicks off in Houston's Reliant Stadium.

League City (Texas) Clear Creek athlete J.J. Mullins is one of the closest K-State commitments to the Texas Bowl.

Mullins, who's team lost in the first round of the state playoffs, may also try to watch the Wildcats in some of their bowl game practices.

Irving, Texas tight end Dante Pinchback couldn't have thought of a better draw for the Wildcats on bowl selection day. Pinchback is still receiving some attention on the recruiting trail from other schools.
