Brown talks commitment

Last Thursday, BadgerBlitz.com caught up with Royal Palm Beach, Fla., three-star running back Zach Brown, who was fresh off a verbal commitment to the Wisconsin Badgers on Wednesday night.

The 5-foot-10, 198-pound Brown was asked about his in-home visit with UW head coach Bret Bielema and linebackers coach Dave Doeren and how his commitment went down. Read what Brown had to say below.

I know you committed to Wisconsin. How are you feeling?

ZB: "I mean I feel good because I hear a lot more players committed, that word got to me, and I feel like I made the right decision."

If you could hit rewind and tell me how your commitment went down, maybe tell me about your conversation with Coach Doeren and Coach Bielema… How did you go about telling them you wanted to join their team?

ZB: "I didn't think I was going to commit (Wednesday) and my dad was talking to Coach and he felt like the decision I was going to make was going to be the best decision and he didn't want to influence that. He was confident whatever school I pick that it would be right. And then so Coach was like, 'Well, I hope something in him…' I just pulled the trigger and came out and said, 'I'm coming.'"
