Dimarco talks about South Carolina

LAKELAND, Fla.- Altamonte Springs (Fla.) Lake Brantley standout Patrick Dimarco is excited about the opportunity in front of him at South Carolina.

The 6-foot-2, 235-pounder spoke with Rivals.com following practice for the Florida Athletic Coaches Association North-South All-Star Game on Wednesday about his commitment to the Gamecocks and head coach Steve Spurrier, along with his showing at North-South practices to date.

Dimarco, who is a member of the North squad, is playing tight end this week, but he won't be a full-time player at that position in Columbia.

"Coach Spurrier when they offered me said they wanted me to play H-Back," Dimarco said. "Then when I went up there on my official visit this past weekend, I talked to the tight ends coach Fred Chatham and he said that they were going to move me around and that I would go from fullback to tight end back to fullback.

"It's pretty exciting."
