Dorsey's status surprises himself
In less than one week, Glenn Dorsey will make his 17th start at defensive tackle for LSU.
That total does not represent even 1½ years of play during a current 12-game regular season schedule.
But, Dorsey's appearance against Notre Dame may be his last as a college football player.
The junior from East Ascension High School in Gonzales may bypass his senior season with the Tigers and make himself eligible for the NFL draft.
Many NFL analysts project Dorsey as a first-round pick if he elects to come out for the draft. Dorsey has submitted his paperwork to the NFL Advisory Council, which evaluates college underclassmen.
