Big shoes to fill

The Nebraska Huskers dipped into the junior college ranks again this year for some immediate help on the defensive line. Losing all of the starters will not be easy to replace, but getting the two defensive tackles from Garden City Community College in Kansas should ease the pain. HuskersIllustrated.com had the opportunity to get the opinion of former head coach J.J. Eckert on his two former star linemen.

This past season, Garden City got off to a solid start (6-1) through the first seven games, but injuries to their top tailbacks did not help in the last three games - all losses.

After seeing Shukree Barfield (6-4, 310, 4.9) for two years, coach Eckert would know what type of a player he is and should be at Nebraska.
