McCoy will come to Pitt

Since taking over as Pitt head coach, Dave Wannstedt has been dedicated to creating a balanced offense that uses a strong rushing attack to put games away. This week, Wannstedt and the Panthers took what could be a very significant step toward achieving that goal when running back LeSean McCoy committed to Pitt. McCoy, 5'11" and 210 pounds, originates from Harrisburg's Bishop McDevitt, but has spent the last year at Milford Prep Academy in New Berlin, NY. He took an official visit to Pitt with his parents last weekend, and his commitment came as the climax to the visit.

McCoy said that his decision on college had been narrowed to a choice between Pitt and Penn State. While the Nittany Lions appeared to have an edge, the official visit showed McCoy all that he needed to see from the Panthers.
