Trinity's three-sport junior likes Panthers

As we get closer to signing day on Feb. 7, we also get closer to the day when current high school juniors become seniors. One of those juniors is Trinity linebacker Andrew Sweat.
Sweat is the next Division I athlete to come from Trinity. The Hillers have bounced around between Class AAA and Quad-A over the last few years, pulling off a first-round upset over No. 2 Penn Hills in 2005, then moving down to Class AAA, only to compete in a competitive Big Seven Conference that includes Thomas Jefferson and Keystone Oaks, who this past year. They have sent several athletes to Division I schools. The Hillers, in recent years, have sent Mark Faldowski to Army in 2005, Andy Miller to Ohio State in 2006 and Cody Endres will sign with Connecticut in a couple weeks. Sweat will be the next in line.

Sweat already has offers from Pitt, Wisconsin and Connecticut, and a half-dozen other schools who have verbally offered him, including Clemson. West Virginia coaches visited him at his school this past week, and indicated they might offer him, as have a few other schools.
