Three-star has change of heart

Three-star defensive tackle Tyrone Duncan (6-2, 285, 5.0) from Westlake Village (Calif.) Westlake has had a change of heart and has decided to take his talents to the Pac 10.

Duncan had a hard decision to make when Washington offered him a scholarship.

"I first committed to Fresno State and I really liked it there," Duncan said. "But out of all the schools that were recruiting me I wanted to play for Washington, but the offer wasn't there.

"When Washington offered I really had to think about it because when I took my trip to Fresno State I really loved it," Duncan said. "It was such a touch decision that I had to ask Coach Chris Tormey for another day and that's what it came down to.

"I wanted to play a good schedule and Washington playing in the Pac 10 has one," Duncan said. "So does Fresno State, but the main difference was a degree from Washington holds little bit more weight than one from Fresno State.

The Huskies land a player in Duncan who earned all-league, all-county and all-CIF as a senior after racking 39 tackles and recording eight sacks.
