The recruiting roller-coaster one high, one low

Although I've been covering recruiting for over five years and following it much longer than I'd care to admit, this was my first full season of covering the Oregon Ducks. I've gotta say, I couldn't have picked a much better season to start! This class is impressive both on and off the field, and should provide a strong base for the Ducks to work with over the next four years.

We'll be doing a breakdown of the class in the coming days; however I thought I'd look back at two recruits who embody the roller coaster that recruiting has become. These two prospects led Duck fans through a range of emotions - happy, confused, upset, hopeful - they all applied to both recruits.

Although he ended up signing with USC, 5-foot-11, 226-pound linebacker Jordan Campbell of Corona (Calif.) Norco was always fun to talk with. He was fun to talk with because I could just say, "How's it going, Jordan?" and I'd get a ten-minute diatribe to write my entire interview from.
