Cruz in control

2008 could be one of the deepest years for skill position talent in Arkansas history, and Little Rock Pulaski Academy wide receiver Cruz Williams is one who is receiving early interest.

Williams, 6-foot-4, 206 pounds, has seen looks from Arkansas, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Ole Miss, Oklahoma State and Tulsa. Last season, he caught 57 balls for 1,200 yards (21.1 per catch) and 19 touchdowns.

"I think my ability to catch the ball, be a team player and that I'm coachable and my attitude," Williams said. "To be a Division I prospect, to me, you've got to have everything. You've got to do what the coach says, be a team player and make plays - that's the main thing."
