The Weather Report

The third time around is expected to be a charm for new Cougar running backs coach Steve Broussard - but then again, the first two times around were not exactly chopped liver.

The first of those times came in 1987-89 when the "Bruiser" as he was called in his heady collegiate days in Pullman, was helping Dennis Erickson's boys beat top-ranked UCLA in one of the school's most memorable upsets of all-time and helped lead them to their fourth bowl game in school history. Broussard was twice an All-Pac-10 first-teamer, an All-American second-teamer and his 139 yards in the 1988 Aloha Bowl still stands as the Wazzu's all-time bowl game rushing record.
