Will Cox take the next step?

Brandon Cox has accomplished a lot in his two years as Auburn's starting quarterback.

He's led the Tigers to 19 wins, two Iron Bowl victories and a Cotton Bowl championship. His 4th-down, 62-yards pass, led AU to a stunning upset of Georgia in Athens in 2005 and he helped engineer big wins over LSU and Florida in 2006.

But Auburn offensive coordinator Al Borges wants more. He wants Cox to take the next step and lead Auburn back to the SEC Championship.

"He's got to prove that he's a championship quarterback," said Borges.

"We haven't done that yet. Two years in a row we've proven we can win with him. Now we have to prove that we can win championships with him."
