Wilson looking to re-invent the fullback position

Spring practices are less than a month away and we're taking a look at the major battles ahead in the months to come. Oklahoma isn't losing starters at every position, but some positions will see major competition during spring football practices.

One position that has been in flux since the departure of J.D. Runnels two years ago is the fullback position. Editor Carey Murdock takes a look at the fullback position and the major players involved in that position battles.

The Candidates: Dane Zaslaw, Matt Clapp, Ian Pleasant and Brody Eldridge.

The Outlook: Oklahoma's fullback position never settled during the 2006 season. The Sooners had a plan heading into the season but neither Matt Clapp nor Dane Zaslaw were able to separate themselves as the clear starter.
