Bowman goes down with knee injury on Wednesday

The Nebraska football team suffered some potential bad news on the injury front during Wednesday's spring practice.

NU head coach Bill Callahan said senior cornerback Zackary Bowman injured his knee in Wednesday's practice, but the extent of the injury is still unknown at this point.

Callahan said the injury happened to Bowman's non-surgically repaired knee. This past August, Bowman went down with a season-ending ACL injury during fall camp.

"The extent of that injury we don't know yet," Callahan said. "We'll find out a little bit more when we go and visit the doctors. Hopefully he's in good shape, but we'll have to get a little bit more information on his status."

Nebraska scrimmaged live on Wednesday for 32 plays, but the injury to Bowman did not take place during the scrimmage.
