South Florida receiver chooses Auburn
It's not easy pulling top recruits out of South Florida, but Auburn's Eddie Gran continues to get the job done for the Tigers.
Tuesday night Gran reeled in commitment No. 4 for Auburn when Miami (Fla.) Booker T. Washington WR Thearon Collier gave his pledge to the Tigers.
Collier, a 5-foot-9, 165-pound playmaker, chose Auburn over offers from Florida and Ole Miss among others.
As a junior, Collier had 34 receptions for 791 yards (23.2 avg.) and nine touchdowns. He was named 4A first-team All-State.
Collier joins Orlando (Fla.) Dr. Phillips WR Damion Allen, Picayune (Miss.) DB Drew Cole and Pace (Fla.) TE Vance Smith on Auburn's 2008 commitment list.
