Family ties have Illinois DE high on UK
Kentucky's spring football practice drew many high school prospects to Lexington eager to get a look at the Wildcats coming off their eight-win season and victory over Clemson in the Music City Bowl.
One of them on hand for the Blue-White Game was Naperville (Ill.) Central standout Josh Jelesky. A 6-foot-6, 230-pound defensive end, Jelesky is a new name of the 2008 recruiting board but he has been following the Cats for a long time.
"My family has a huge connection with Kentucky," he said. "My mom grew up in Lexington and my grandparents have had season tickets all the way back to Bear Bryant. I've always been a big fan and wanted to play there since I was little.
