All-State running back eyeing the Bruins

There are a a few national-type running back recruits in Arizona this cycle, but only one of them was named first team all-state as a junior. Jovan Stevenson (5-11, 195, 4.5) hails from what is arguably the top high school football program in Arizona, Sunnyside HS on Tucson's south side. Stevenson has two offers on the table and the Bruins are one of his top five schools.

As a junior, Jovan (pronounced Joe-von) rushed for 1,863 yards and 14 touchdowns. He hails from the same program that produced Arizona's top running back a couple years ago, Xavier Smith who is now playing for the Arizona Wildcats. Unlike, Smith, Stevenson seems to want to take his services out-of-state. "My top schools are USC, Notre Dame, Miami, UCLA, and Virginia Tech," Stevenson states. "I also like Colorado a little bit."
