Baldwin visits South Bend

Last month Jonathan Baldwin added Notre Dame to a list of offers that now totals close to 25 schools. The 6-foot-6, 225-pound wide receiver from Aliquippa, Pa., said his Irish offer came during a conversation with Notre Dame head coach Charlie Weis and later became official during a school visit.

"I was talking to coach Weis and he offered me on the phone," Baldwin said. "They came to the school and that's when it became official."

Like most schools, the Irish are recruiting Baldwin to play wide receiver. That's a good thing considering that Baldwin said he won't consider offers to play tight end.
