Ebert runs his way to Wildcat offer
At 6-foot and 178 pounds, Jeremy Ebert knows that he isn't going to impress anyone with his size. And because he plays quarterback at Hilliard (Ohio) Darby, he doesn't even have any film of him playing wide receiver, the position for which he is being recruited.
But one thing Ebert can do is run fast. Really fast.
So, Ebert has set out this spring to prove to college coaches that he has the speed to play major-college football by hitting 11 camps from the East Coast to the Midwest. And it was at Northwestern's camp last Wednesday that Ebert's blazing 40-yard dash time earned him his first scholarship offer from a BCS school.
