Bechtold puts on an impressive display at NU camp

Damon Bechtold, who makes up half of the talented Omaha (Neb.) Westside tight end duo, put on an impressive performance at the recently completed Nebraska football camp. While neither he nor his Warrior teammate, Tim Biere, walked away from the camp with an offer, Bechtold hopes he opened the eyes of the NU coaches enough to make them realize he'd bring a lot to the program.

He said he liked the camp a lot and thought he did pretty well while in attendance. The 6-foot-4, 210-pound prospect said he put on an impressive display that included a 32" long jump and running a 4.7-40 (yard dash), which resulted in him being included in the fastest-man competition. His next camp stop is later this week at Iowa State.
