A well tutored tight end

Much of the attention circles around the incoming freshmen during summer workouts, but last year's recruits actually stand to make the biggest strides after a full year in the program.

One such player is tight end Anthony McCoy, who we caught up with to chat about his progress, his mentor and what he thinks of Joe McKnight and the rest of the new faces on campus.

Now a sophomore, McCoy had his share of growing pains when he made the jump from high school to college in 2006.

"It is going alright now," McCoy said about the difficult voluntary workout schedule he and his teammates follow. "I am getting in work everyday and getting used to the environment. My first year wasn't as easy as I thought it was going to be, but now I am starting to get the hang of everything."
