Three Cowboys named Preseason All-Big 12

The Big 12 Conference announced its preseason All-Big 12 teams on Friday afternoon and three Oklahoma State Cowboys were selected for the squad, which was selected by the Big 12 media.

Wide receiver Adarius Bowman, return specialist Perrish Cox and punter Matt Fodge were selected to the team. All three were All-Big 12 selections following the 2006 season, with Bowman and Cox both earning first-team honors and Fodge on the second team.

Bowman was also the conference Newcomer of the Year last year, with impressive statistics of 60 catches covering 1,181 yards with 12 touchdowns in his debut season at OSU after transferring from North Carolina following the 2004 season.

Cox earned freshman All-America and second team All-America honors from Rivals.com for his return skills in 2006. Cox returned the opening kickoff of the '06 season for a touchdown (96 yards vs. Florida Atlantic). He averaged 23.8 yards per kick return and 12.8 yards per punt return as a true freshman.

Fodge was behind Baylor's Daniel Sepulveda in the media's 2006 All-Big 12 squad, as well as the rivals.com All-America team after averaging 44.9 yards per punt and pinning opponents inside their own 20 on 14 occasions.

OSU trailed only Texas (6) and Oklahoma (4) in the number of players selected to the preseason squad.
