Notes: Cowboys sleeping well

New mattresses delivered - Members of the Cowboy football, men's and women's basketball and men's and women's golf teams should be sleeping comfortably next school year, as Simmons custom oversized mattresses were delivered earlier this week.

The mattresses measure 54 inches wide, 95 inches long and 11 inches deep. An average king-size mattress is approximately 80 inches long.

"The beds are really comfortable," said linebacker Jeremy Nethon. "They help you get a good night's rest and recover. They are definitely top of the line and have to be the best in the nation."

Caravans finish this week - OSU will wrap up its summer Cowboy Caravan schedule with stops Oklahoma City on July 26 and Tulsa on July 31st.

OSU football head coach Mike Gundy will be the keynote speaker at both events.

Trio selected All-Big 12 - Three Cowboy players were selected by the media for the Big 12 Conference preseason team. Wide receiver Adarius Bowman, return man Perrish Cox and punter Matt Fodge were the three Pokes tabbed by the writers.

Only Texas (6) and Oklahoma (4) had more players named to the team.

Report day looming - Cowboy footballers are set to report on August 1, with the first practice of the 2007 season the following day.

Media day will be held in the morning on Saturday, August 4th and the Cowboys annual fan appreciation day will follow that afternoon.
