Gran expecting spirited competition at RB
Junior Brad Lester is the heir apparent but he's going to have to hold off a serious challenge from talented youngsters Ben Tate and Mario Fannin if he's going to be the next star Auburn running back.
"What I'm excited about at that position is the competition," said AU running backs coach Eddie Gran. "Brad Lester has the most experience and proved this spring he can be the starting running back here. It will be his job going in.
"You've got Mario Fannin and Ben Tate who I think are together at No. 2. They've had a great summer and are excited. They know that the job is available for anybody that produces.
"I look for unbelievable competition at that position."
