Fall Camp: Monday notes

Monday's Fall Camp wasn't quite as eventful as Sunday's, but we still left Tucson High School with several notes. Here's the latest from Arizona's Fall Camp.

  • Before the rest of the team arrived, redshirt freshman and expected starting punter Keenyn Crier stood at Tucson High's south 10-yard line and booted punt after punt, usually getting between the north 30-40.

Just before practice, after his teammates got to the field, Crier moved up to the 15-yard line, and some of his kicks reached the north 20-yard line in the air.

  • Nate Ness' sprained ankle apparently wasn't too serious, as he was back in action on Monday.

  • Junior college safety Joseph Perkins is still finishing up his coursework but could be in Tucson as early as next week. The UA still hasn't given an official word on the status of 2007 signees Vuna Tuihalamaka and Levar Brown.
