2007 Fall Football Practice Report #2


Our intrepid reporter, the ever-industrious Campus Carl was dispatched to the Cougar football practice field to cover Wazzu second day of full-pad football practice of the 2007 season and we have confiscated his notes before it fell into the hands of impressionable youngsters or Wisconsin cheese spies making googly eyes at the Cougar Gold…


Morning

-- Romeen Abdollmohammadi may have locked down the kicking job, though of course that's probably not official yet. Many of his kicks are going right down the middle, and his kickoff distance during coverage drills (run in the stadium this morning, probably because of the additional yardage that now has to be covered) has been very impressive. He could do with a little more hang time, but he can certainly get the ball back there. The improvement from him over last season has been dramatic. Penner looks ok and has a decent leg. He may be the favorite for the job next season after the top 2 graduate. Loren Langley again had the day off.
