While the Trojans boast a depth chart full of former high school stars at tailback, a successful running game is often one-part talent, two parts chemistry. USC has the talent at tailback, but does the offensive line have the formula for success?
Heading into the second week of fall camp, the Trojans are playing a game of Tetris. For every move made along the offensive line due to injury, a new tailback steps in with a unique running style.
The right combination results in a flash of brilliance, but thus far, flashes are all the offense can muster. For Ruel, sustained success starts with better blocking.
