Mid-camp player report
With the 2007 season opener just 15 days away, the Appalachian State football team has seen a handful of guys step up and impress throughout camp. Of course there are the obvious veterans within the team that are expected to perform at a high level, but aside from these guys, several new starters or young players have emerged from the pack.
For some of these players, the start of fall camp came with a great deal of uncertainty, as many of them were unaware of their role within the team. Now, at the mid-way point, roles are beginning to be a little more defined and expectations of these players are beginning to rise.
Sure the coaches don't want to put too much pressure on these players, but at the same time they have witnessed them performing at very high levels during the course of the month. Thus, big things are anticipated from the players. In light of the progression made by these players, MountaineerIllustrated will take a look at five individuals or groups that have stepped to the forefront in practice.
