Monday practice notebook
Appalachian State completed fall camp on Monday with a two hour session and the team appeared to progress at a very fluid rate. With classes starting on Tuesday, the players will begin hitting the practice field later in the afternoon from this day forward. The team will also start preparations for Michigan, while coaches will begin to draw up the list for those chosen to travel on September 1.
With camp now over and done with, head coach Jerry Moore feels that his team performed at a high level for the last two weeks leaving him pleased at where the team stands heading into the conclusion of the preseason.
"It's been a good camp," Moore said. "We've pushed them. We've run them more than we typically run them and they've come a long way in the last 48 hours as far as bouncing back. I thought they were a little bit tired Saturday night at the Fan Fest game and they've bounced back from that.
"It's been a good camp and we've gotten a lot done. We got a lot of exposure to the young players and it's been a very positive two weeks."
