Holmes finds a home on defense
College football players don't always find success straight out of high school. For OU defensive back Lendy Holmes, he found himself on the wrong side of the ball at the beginning of his OU career.
Holmes was a two-way star at South Oak Cliff High School in Dallas.
He was lured by the flash of the pass and began his college career as a potential catch-and-run threat.
But he quickly found out that being an offensive star at OU wasn't in the cards.
After struggling at receiver, Holmes asked for a switch to the defensive side of the ball. And it was quickly apparent that Holmes had a new home at cornerback.
But he didn't stop there.
