Analysis: Fall Camp Superlatives

Auburn wrapped up fall camp last week and has now turned its attention to Kansas State. But before we get going with the Wildcats, AuburnSports.com takes a look back at the standouts of two-a-days.

Bryan Matthews and Jeffrey Lee selected their MVP, Top Freshman, Most Improved, Most Underrated and Mr. Consistent on the defensive side of the ball through fall camp. Lee had first pick with the offense. Matthews will get first selection with the defense. The two can't have the same player for each award.

MOST VALUABLE PLAYER

BRYAN'S PICK: CB Jerraud Powers
Here's why… I'm going out of the box with this pick but Powers is the guy that's made the most big plays throughout fall camp. It seems like he has an interception or makes a big play in almost every team drill. Powers is also very physical against the run and tackles well. He reminds me of Chris Shelling, who was one of my favorite DB's back in the early 90's.
Also considered: DE Quentin Groves, DE Sen'Derrick Marks, LB Tray Blackmon.

JEFFREY'S PICK: DE Quentin Groves
